Mike, a Rx CAMZYOS® (mavacamten) patient, and his wife, Carla

Mike, a patient living with symptomatic obstructive HCM, and his wife Carla were compensated for their time. Individual results may vary.

HCM=hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

Meet Mike

Mike always enjoyed being outdoors—especially with his wife and family. But then he started to experience “episodes” where his heart would pound and he’d feel short of breath while being active. Having always enjoyed an active lifestyle, he found himself limiting his activities and rearranging his life to avoid symptoms. But over time, they became more frequent and constraining. Mike felt like his world was shrinking. When a particularly bad episode of symptoms drove him to his cardiologist, Mike was diagnosed with symptomatic obstructive HCM and his doctor added CAMZYOS to his current treatment.

Check in with Mike

Mike has always been an active person, but everything changed when he started noticing that he was frequently short of breath and that he didn’t have the energy to do the things he loved. Mike found himself staying behind. In 2022, he was shopping at the store when he started feeling abnormally short of breath and pain in his heart. After taking multiple tests and talking with his cardiologist, he was diagnosed with symptomatic obstructive HCM and was eventually prescribed CAMZYOS.
