“My wife used to have to stop and wait for me when we were walking. Since starting CAMZYOS®, my symptoms are improving, and I can walk with her!”

Nathaniel, a patient living with symptomatic obstructive HCM, and his wife, Trina, were compensated for their time. Individual results may vary.
HCM=hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Meet Nathaniel
Nathaniel, a computer science pioneer, has loved music, song and dance for as long as he can remember. His intellectual pursuits were complemented by artistic passions, yet despite his talents, he often couldn’t fully engage in these activities due to his physical limitations. Throughout his life, Nathaniel struggled with symptoms of obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (oHCM), which limited physical exertion.
The Challenge of oHCM
“I’ve always loved to dance,” Nathaniel shared, “but I struggled to do two dances in a row.” His childhood sweetheart and wife of over 50 years, Trina, recalled, “I never really thought about it – that’s just the way it was.” Nathaniel’s symptoms, including shortness of breath and dizziness, gradually worsened. A collapse during a heat wave finally made the severity of his oHCM clear and caused him to realize he needed to talk to a doctor about treatment.
The Difference with CAMZYOS
Nathaniel noticed positive changes after starting CAMZYOS. He recalls a holiday weekend with family, “I played in the lake with my grandchildren more actively than I ever could with my own daughters.” One of his daughters also noticed the difference, and phoned the rest of the family to say, “You have to come see Dad!”
Trina recalls another meaningful accomplishment, “He climbed the stairs at Iargo Springs without needing to stop to rest – a place we never thought we’d be able to visit due to Nathaniel’s oHCM-related symptoms. I was excited to see that.”
